Adventure World and glafit Team Up for "Safari E-Bike Cruise" Starting March 21

Adventure World (Shirahama Town, Wakayama) is launching a new tour called "Safari E-Bike Cruise" on March 21, 2026, in collaboration with Wakayama-based electric mobility company glafit. The tour lets riders aged 16 and older cruise through the safari area on electric bikes, getting up close to animals along the way.

Highlights of the Safari E-Bike Cruise

① Electric Bikes from Wakayama-Based glafit

The tour uses electric bikes from glafit, a company known for developing next-generation personal mobility from Wakayama. With their quiet motors, the bikes won't startle the animals, allowing riders to take in the natural sounds and breeze of the safari environment.

② Animal-Inspired Bike Designs Supervised by Safari Keepers

The bikes featured in this tour are decorated with giraffe and zebra patterns, designed under the supervision of the safari area's animal keepers. Straddling a bike that mimics the texture and markings of the animals, visitors can feel like they're blending into the safari landscape itself.

③ Animal Feeding Experience

While riding freely through the safari, participants can stop to feed their favorite herbivores. Animals available for feeding include mouflon, Japanese deer (Sika), Himalayan tahr, and axis deer. Being within arm's reach of the animals — close enough to feel their breath and body warmth — makes for an unforgettable moment.

④ No Driver's License Required — Open to Ages 16 and Up

The vehicle used in this tour qualifies as a "specified small moped" (特定小型原動機付自転車), meaning anyone aged 16 (high school age) or older can ride it without a driver's license. It looks like a bicycle but moves without pedaling, giving riders a breezy sense of freedom that makes everyday life feel far away.

What is WANDERIDE®?

glafit's WANDERIDE® brand was born as an activity called "Hinecha Tourism" — exploring a town on electric bikes for anyone aged 16 and up. This tour brings that experience inside Adventure World, combining an animal encounter with the freedom of cruising the park on an e-bike.
