"Atsuuta Unagi Ten," an unagi (freshwater eel) restaurant that has earned a loyal following with long lines at its original location near Atsuta Shrine, is opening a second branch — Atsuuta Unagi Ten Fushimi — in Nagoya's Fushimi district on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Three Points of Commitment

① Commitment to Price

Unagi-don (eel rice bowl) and hitsumabushi are offered at prices described as among the most accessible in the industry, making the restaurant suitable for family and group dining.
② Commitment to Quality

The restaurant uses Japanese eel (Nihon unagi) raised in carefully managed environments and cleared through strict inspections. Live eels are prepared fresh each morning and grilled using the "jiyaki" (direct-fire) method.
③ Commitment to Taste

- The sauce leans slightly sweet to pair well with rice, and the eel is finished crispy in the Nagoya style.
- Rice uses Gifu Prefecture's "Hatsushimo" variety, cooked slightly firm to complement the sauce and eel.
- The skin is grilled crispy while the flesh stays fluffy, finished over charcoal by experienced craftsmen.
◎ Premium Unagi-don with Liver — ¥3,850 (tax included)

◎ Premium Hitsumabushi with Liver — ¥4,050 (tax included)
