To mark the 40th anniversary of the manga Chimpui, the music video for "I Don't Want to Be Cinderella" (シンデレラなんかになりたくない) — the theme song of the short anime film Chimpui: Good Luck, Princess Eri, currently showing at Kawasaki City Fujiko F. Fujio Museum — has been released on YouTube. A REMIX version by Soji it, MC and trackmaker of Dos Monos, is also now available.
Both MVs are directed by anime video director Nobuyuki Yoda (10GAUGE), who also serves as the film's director. The main theme MV is composed using footage from the anime itself, while the REMIX version reflects Soji it's distinctive creative world with an imaginative visual style.
The promotional visuals feature original artwork drawn by Naoyuki Asano, who served as character designer and animation director on the film.
Full versions of both tracks are available on the streaming album, the Chimpui: Good Luck, Princess Eri Original Soundtrack, on major music streaming services.
Chimpui: Good Luck, Princess Eri is screening at the F Theater on the 2nd floor of Kawasaki City Fujiko F. Fujio Museum through Sunday, June 21, 2026.
