hada to kokoro Launches New "Kakezan Series" Skincare Line Built on Ingredient Combinations

Japanese total care brand hada to kokoro has launched the "Kakezan Series" (かけ算シリーズ), a new skincare line centered on the concept of combining two carefully selected active ingredients in each product for a synergistic approach to skin care.

Ingredient Combinations Designed for Specific Skin Goals

The Kakezan Series was developed in response to the growing desire among consumers to choose skincare products based on the specific ingredients they need. By pairing two complementary ingredients in each formulation, the series aims to make it easier to select the right product for a particular skin concern, while also supporting consistent daily use.

Each product is formulated with what the brand calls a "synergy design" — where the combination of ingredients is intended to produce a more direct effect on the target skin impression than either ingredient alone.

The line is also designed with flexible use in mind. For example, the Ceramide x Hyaluronic Acid serum can be used at night to replenish moisture, while the Azelaic Acid x CICA serum works well in the morning to prep skin for smooth makeup application. Users can mix and match based on their skin condition and lifestyle.

Each serum can be used on its own or alternated with other products in the line, allowing for a personalized routine that adapts to seasonal changes and daily skin conditions.

Alongside the serums, the Kakezan Series includes a lineup of rinse-off packs that share the same ingredient design. The packs feature a smooth, creamy texture — described as gelato-like — designed to make the application experience as enjoyable as the results.
