HOTEL INTERGATE OSAKA UMEDA Hosts Special Daikagura Performance to Mark 5th Anniversary

To celebrate its 5th anniversary, HOTEL INTERGATE OSAKA UMEDA is hosting a special one-day event, "Naniwa de Hanasaku Yose Geino – Daikagura –," on April 1, 2026 (Wednesday). The event takes place at the hotel's 2F Intergate Lounge and pairs live Daikagura performances with Osaka's beloved local food culture.

Daikagura is a traditional Japanese performing art with more than 400 years of history, tracing its roots back to the Edo period. Originally a ceremonial art form performed to wish people happiness, it combines acrobatics, lion dances, and comic storytelling — with eye-catching skills such as spinning balls and masu boxes on a parasol. Acclaimed Daikagura performer Horaiya Daijiro will deliver four live performances throughout the afternoon, giving attendees the chance to experience the art up close.

The lounge will also serve two of Osaka's most iconic dishes during the event: takoyaki (octopus dumplings) and doteyaki (braised beef tendon in a sweet miso sauce), both fitting for a snack or as a pairing with drinks during Happy Hour.
