A limited-edition chair born from the collaboration between luxury menswear brand Kiton and Italian furniture maker Cassina will be on display at Kiton Ginza from March 19, 2026.
Last year marked Cassina's 60th anniversary of reviving the collection by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. To celebrate, a limited edition of the "3 FAUTEUIL GRAND CONFORT, GRAND MODÈLE, DURABLE" made its debut at Milan Design Week 2025. This special model uses cashmere produced at Kiton's wool factory in Biella, inspired by "Villa Church," a residence near Paris designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928. The project involved meticulous research alongside Charlotte Perriand into color combinations that enhance the relationship between furniture, space, and the user.
The Kiton collaboration yields a bicolor design combining blue and burgundy, with each color variant limited to a single piece — the exterior and interior colors reversed between the two. Key characteristics include a natural velvet-like texture and a glossy blue tubular metal frame. The cushion filling and seat use recycled polyester fiber, while the foam material incorporates partially bio-based polyurethane, reflecting Cassina's commitment to sustainable and innovative design.
