PAPABUBBLE Kichijoji, located inside Kichijoji Marui, reopened on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, following a renovation that introduced a "theater-style kitchen" to the shop floor. This makes it the 8th kitchen-equipped PAPABUBBLE store in the Kanto region, and the first to bring live candy-making performances to Kichijoji—an experience that had previously been available mainly within Tokyo's 23 wards.
A Candy Stage Behind Glass
Situated near Inokashira Park, PAPABUBBLE Kichijoji has been a local favorite since opening in 2023. After the renovation, a theatrical open kitchen now takes center stage at the front of the store. Positioned just inside the entrance of Kichijoji Marui along a street-facing corridor, the interior is visible through glass windows, inviting passersby to stop and peek in.
The black-toned interior is designed to make the colorful handmade candies pop visually. Visitors can enjoy the sight of candy being shaped from scratch, the sweet aromas drifting from the kitchen, and the opportunity to taste freshly made samples—all reflecting the brand's philosophy: "It's not a snack if it doesn't excite you."
Free Original Drawstring Bag with Fresh Candy Purchase

One of the highlights of the kitchen-equipped store is the ability to purchase freshly made candy right after it comes out of the kitchen. The popular "Fresh-made Candy BAG" contains a slightly larger portion than usual and offers candy that is still slightly warm, with a fresh taste and texture unique to kitchen stores.
To celebrate the reopening, customers who purchase 3 or more "Fresh-made Candy BAGs" between March 3 (Tue) and March 8 (Sun), 2026 will receive an original drawstring bag as a gift. The bag is a practical, roomy size suitable for carrying candy as well as everyday use—a souvenir that combines utility with a reminder of the brand experience.
- Period: Tuesday, March 3 – Sunday, March 8, 2026
- Eligibility: Customers purchasing 3 or more Fresh-made Candy BAGs (¥640–¥740 each)
- Candy designs and flavors vary depending on the production schedule
Special Expanded Candy Cut Experience

The store also offers the "Candy Cut Experience," a hands-on activity where participants step into the kitchen alongside artisans and cut candy using specialized tools. Candy cut during the session can be taken home.
On Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, 2026, a special limited plan will be available: participants can cut an extra batch of candy, taking home a total of 3 bags instead of the usual 2. The event is open to families and friends looking for a fun, participatory activity.
Event Details:
- Dates: Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, 2026
- Price: ¥2,000
- Age Requirement: 5 years and older
