An immersive exhibition inspired by the concept of a "dream hotel imagined by Sanrio characters" is set to open at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku. Sanrio characters Exhibition Hotel Floria Tokyo marks the Japan premiere of a project originally conceived by d'strict, a Seoul-based digital design and art company, in collaboration with Sony Creative Products.
The exhibition runs from July 15, 2026 (Wednesday) through May 31, 2027 (Monday), with no closures during the run.
A Hotel Room Tour Like No Other
Visitors are welcomed with a check-in experience and receive a room key before stepping into a sequence of elaborately designed spaces. The exhibition is structured around 11 themed areas, beginning with a pink-hued entrance lobby where Sanrio characters greet guests, and continuing through a sparkling garden, a light-filled ballroom, and character-themed guest rooms.
The guest room section features distinctive spaces for individual characters: the My Melody Room is draped in soft pink evoking a fairy-tale world, the Hello Kitty Room draws inspiration from roses and piano melodies for a romantic atmosphere, and the Kuromi Room blends neon retro aesthetics with a fantasy garden of flowers and butterflies.
One highlight that proved popular in Korea is a pink beach installation made with real sand, stretching toward a dreamy horizon.
Characters featured in the exhibition include Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Little Twin Stars, Pochacco, Hangyodon, and Keroppi.
Limited-Edition Merchandise
A range of original goods exclusive to the exhibition will be available, including acrylic charms modeled after room keys, hotel sticker sets, and travel-themed novelty items — all carrying the Hotel Floria world.
