Sakata City in Yamagata Prefecture developed as a port town through trade across the Sea of Japan, and it still carries the history and culture brought by the kitamaebune trading ships. The area is blessed with rich produce from the Shonai Plain, one of Japan's leading grain-producing regions, along with abundant seafood from the Sea of Japan, and it also draws visitors for the grand natural scenery of Mount Chokai, one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains. Logistics and industry are concentrated around the Port of Sakata, and recent progress in offshore wind power projects has drawn attention to the area's growing potential for business demand as well as tourism. The company signed a regional revitalization partnership agreement with Sakata City in July 2023, and the opening of Tabino Hotel lit Sakata is part of that ongoing collaboration.

The men's bath includes a 90°C sauna and a cold bath kept at 17°C, while the women's bath features a "silky bath" with fine bubbles that gently wrap the body, helping guests soothe the fatigue of travel or work.
After bathing, guests can spend a relaxed moment in the lounge, and the adjoining relaxation corner is equipped with massage chairs for further rest of body and mind.
2. Functional, comfortable guest rooms equipped with five types of appliances
Double rooms, ideal for solo travelers, make up more than 60% of the hotel's 178 rooms, alongside a variety of other room types including twin rooms and deluxe twin rooms that can accommodate up to four guests.
