tet coffee and bake, a small coffee stand and bakery located next to Goten-yama Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido, released its new product "tet book" on March 1, 2026. The shop is known for its corgi-themed gluten-free cookies made with rice flour, including its corgi cookie tin, which regularly sells out at pop-up events held at department stores across Japan.
"tet book" packages the cookies in a book-shaped box designed to be opened like the cover of a novel, revealing the treats inside. The interior is illustrated with artwork evoking the tet brand's world, and the back cover is also decorated — making it a package worth keeping even after the cookies are gone. The price is 2,530 yen (tax included).
The package design was created by illustrator AtelierKASUMI, who has also worked on previous tet products. The artwork captures the atmosphere of the small mountain-surrounded shop in a soft and delicate style.
In keeping with the book theme, a special illustrated bookmark is included with each box.
Three Flavors
- Plain — A light sweetness from organic maple syrup with a crispy texture.
- Cocoa — Made with organic cocoa powder for a rich, well-rounded flavor.
- Matcha — Uses Shingu Kabuse matcha from Ehime Prefecture for a fragrant, refined taste.
The cookies are gluten-free, made with rice flour from Naganuma-cho, Hokkaido. Canadian organic maple syrup is used as the sweetener in place of sugar, keeping the flavor gentle and natural. Hokkaido rice bran oil and natural salt from Funka Bay contribute to the cookies' crispy texture and depth of flavor.
