Mt. Takao
Located about 50 km west of downtown Tokyo, Mt. Takao is one of Kanto's top hiking destinations. Designated a Michelin three-star site in 2007, it offers a beautiful national park perfect for a leisurely day hike.
Takaosan Yakuo-in Yuki-ji Temple
Mt. Takao has been revered as a sacred mountain and a site of worship for over 1,000 years. Along the hiking trail, you'll find Yakuo-in Temple, where visitors can pray for good fortune from the mountain deity (Tengu) and other Buddhist figures.
Mt. Takaosan Hiking Course
The trail offers various difficulty levels, ranging from beginner-friendly paths to more challenging hikes.

You can stop at any point on the trail to rest or enjoy snacks and drinks.
Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu
Descend the mountain by foot, cable car, or lift (please hold on tight, as there are no safety bars on the lift)! Afterward, relax your tired muscles in the hot springs.
Please note that those with tattoos are not permitted to use the hot springs.
