Itinerary
Tenjin is likely the busiest area in Fukuoka, as locals spend a lot of time in Hakata. While there are some tourist traps, rest assured that our recommended spots are safe.
We’ll introduce you to local izakayas where you can enjoy fresh fish, vegetable dishes, and drinks.
The first izakaya is a "fish" restaurant, offering various ways to enjoy fish, such as sashimi, grilled fish, and simmered fish. Japanese sashimi is incredibly fresh and popular among locals, so be sure to savor authentic Japanese flavors.
In addition to fish dishes, you'll also enjoy a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, with Japanese sake being highly recommended.
(Sake is a smooth, traditional Japanese drink. Be sure to try it while you're in Japan!)

After enjoying the fish dishes, we’ll head to the second stop.
The second izakaya specializes in "yakitori" (grilled chicken skewers).
There are various types of yakitori, and you can choose between salt and sauce, customizing it to your liking.
You’ll be able to enjoy yakitori and a range of alcoholic drinks, so don’t miss out on this Fukuoka specialty.
