Highlights in Detail: A Flower Relay from Cherry Blossoms to Tulips to Roses
Minato Area (Waterfront City Center)
Cherry Blossoms — Late March to early April

- Sakura Street: Approximately 500 meters of cherry trees line the path from Sakuragicho Station toward Yokohama Landmark Tower and Pacifico Yokohama. Pale pink Somei Yoshino varieties create a striking view alongside the Minato Mirai skyline each spring.
- Cherry blossoms also bloom along Kisha-michi, a former railway path where visitors can stroll while enjoying views of the canal, Yokohama Landmark Tower, and the large Ferris wheel.

Tulips — Early to mid-April

- Yokohama Park: About 100,000 colorful tulips bloom to welcome spring.
- Nihon Odori (400 meters from Yokohama Park to Yokohama Port): A corridor of tulips lines this historic boulevard for visitors to enjoy.
Roses — Early to late May

- Yamashita Park: The "Future Rose Garden" showcases around 1,900 rose plants in some 160 varieties against the backdrop of the harbor.
- Harbor View Park: Across three garden areas — the "English Rose Garden," the "Rose and Cascade Garden," and the "Fragrant Garden" — roughly 1,900 plants in approximately 470 varieties bloom in front of the historic Western-style buildings. Visitors can enjoy both the visual display and the fragrances.
- Yokohama Rose Week runs during peak bloom, turning the city into a rose destination during this period.
GREEN×EXPO 2027 One-Year Countdown: Satoyama Garden
Satoyama Garden Festa
Dates: March 19 (Thursday) – May 6 (Wednesday)
Location: Adjacent to Yokohama Zoological Gardens Zoorasia (1425-4 Kamishirane-cho, Asahi-ku, Yokohama)
Spanning approximately 10,000㎡ — the largest flowerbed in Yokohama — the garden features around 200,000 flowers in some 150 varieties, plus approximately 150 cherry trees. This year's theme is "The Opening of the Year Before GREEN×EXPO 2027 — A Spring Satoyama Dyed in Sunrise Colors." To mark the one-year countdown to GREEN×EXPO 2027, the flowerbed is designed to evoke a dawn sky, expressing anticipation for the future. Over 90% of the seedlings used are grown within Yokohama City (in cooperation with JA Yokohama).
