The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka (2-6-50 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City) will celebrate its 3rd anniversary on June 21, 2026. To mark the occasion, the hotel has announced two special gastronomic events drawing on Kyushu's rich culinary culture and the skills of local artisans, as well as the release of a limited-edition Arita porcelain tumbler.
Fukuoka's Culinary Convergence — A One-Night Gastronomic Feast
The modern Western restaurant Viridis at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka will host a one-night-only "6 Hands Dinner" to celebrate the hotel's 3rd anniversary, bringing together Michelin-starred chef Kenji Yamanaka of Viridis and two of Fukuoka's leading chefs for the first time.
The three chefs collaborating for this special evening are:
- Tsuyoshi Fukuyama of "Goh," internationally recognized for his unique gastronomy that represents Fukuoka on the world stage;
- Yusuke Yoshikai of "Pâtisserie Au Fil du Jour," who creates refined sweets captivating both visually and through taste, inspired by the concept of gourmandise (an unrelenting pursuit of culinary pleasure);
- Kenji Yamanaka of Viridis, who brings his own interpretation of Kyushu's terroir to the table.
Kyushu's seasonal ingredients are transformed into new expressions that harmonize texture, fragrance, and beauty. The dinner also features a champagne pairing with Perrier-Jouët, known for its delicate floral aromas and elegant balance.

Sansho Kyoen at Genju — Three Artisan Disciplines, One Special Course
The hotel's Japanese restaurant Genju is also marking the anniversary with a limited special menu called "Sansho Kyoen (三匠響宴)," which brings kaiseki, sushi, and teppanyaki together in a single evening.
Guests are seated in either the kaiseki, sushi, or teppanyaki area. The course opens with a starter (sakizuke), followed by an assorted appetizer plate showcasing the techniques of each section. It then flows through kaiseki soup (wanmono), sashimi (mukozuke), grilled and fried dishes, a palate cleanser, a teppanyaki course, sushi, and a final dessert — all featuring the flavors of Kyushu.

Original Arita Porcelain Tumbler — Traditional Craftsmanship in a Modern Design
To commemorate the anniversary, the hotel has released an original tumbler crafted using the traditional Arita porcelain technique from Kyushu. Available in two colors — "Memorable Blue" and white — both feature the hotel's signature logo.
The tumbler holds approximately 300 ml and comes with a silicone lid for everyday practicality. It is packaged in an original gift box, making it a suitable personal treat or gift.
