It's also a perfect spot for photos! ■Nara Park The itinerary includes must-visit landmarks such as Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and Kofukuji Temple—all situated within the expansive Nara Park. Depending on the season and the pace, we may explore additional spots within the park. ■Kasuga Grand Shrine Stroll through the precincts with your guide, where you’re likely to encounter deer wandering freely. This ornately carved pagoda was built by the Fujiwara clan in 730. Today it is an iconic historical landmark of Nara. ・Todai-ji Temple (30 min) Explore Todaiji Temple Main Hall and Nandaimon. As you approach, you will be greeted by two imposing guardian statues called Kongorikishi. Beyond them is the Great Buddha, a sight that never ceases to fascinate visitors. During this tour, your local guide will share fascinating stories and interesting insights into Japanese Buddhism and the significance of historical temples! ・107 Zōshichō (45 min) Some lunch at a traditional Japanese restaurant Enjoy lunch at a well-established restaurant in an old Japanese town! ・Kasuga Grand Shrine (30 min) Kasuga Taisha Shrine, located in Nara’s Kasugano-cho, is a historic Shinto shrine and head of around 1,000 Kasuga shrines in Japan. Known for its "falling wisteria" crest, it is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site under “Cultural Properties of Ancient Nara.” ・Nara Park (30 min) Explore in Nara Park Walk inside Nara park and interact with cute wild deers Explore the beautiful red shrine housing hundreds of lanterns! ・Naramachi (35 min) Explore Naramachi and head for Naramachi Nigiwai no Ie. We will check out an old Japanese townscape that is quite different from the Tokyo we know.
