Noge in Yokohama, Kanagawa, is famous for its lively izakayas and charming retro-style streets, offering a unique and nostalgic experience with traditional Japanese dishes and diverse drink selections.

Sakuragicho Station (桜木町駅)

Got off at Sakuragicho Station and let’s start the izakaya hopping adventure!
I’ve always wanted to visit Noge, so I’m really excited! ✨

Spot Outline

Sakuragicho Station is located at 1-1 Sakuragicho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is also used as a starting point for a nighttime stroll through the city. Around Sakuragicho Station, there is a path leading to Minato Mirai, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery. The area in front of the station is also well maintained and is used as a comfortable meeting place.

Noge Naoji(野毛 なおじ)

The first stop is Noge Naoji, a store located at the end of the street!
You can enjoy skillet-fried dishes here!
There are many women among the customers, making it a great place for beginners in izakaya hopping.
Oroshi Ponzu with Daisen Chicken from Tottori Prefecture for 390yen – goes great with beer!

Appetizer:

Savor the delicious eggplant dish

Stir fried squid liver: 630yen

The squid’s texture combined with the richness of the liver is so good!
The stir-fried shiitake mushrooms are also flavorful and delicious!

Noge Naoji is a Japanese-style pub located in Miyagawa-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The fried pan dishes is popular, and there are many couples and female customers. This restaurant is an excellent choice for beginners exploring the charms of Noge.

Motsushige(もつしげ 野毛小路)

For the second stop, I came to Motsushige, which, as the name suggests, offers a wide variety of motsu (tripe) dishes!
A popular spot in Noge that attracts crowds throughout the day!
The specialty, salted motsuni (tripe stew) for 530 yen, is remarkably free from any strong odors and boasts a plump, a very good texture and delicious✨
I also recommend adding homemade spicy miso sauce to change the flavor!

Motsushige is a Japanese-style pub located in Noge-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Motsuyaki and hormone are especially popular. Their specialty, salted motsuni, has a plump texture and is so good. The shop draws a crowd from midday, and while there may be a bit of a line at times, it is well worth the wait!

Mugen(夢源)

For the final stop, I came to Mugen in Tabemono Yokocho (Alleyway), a hubspot where eight shops are gathered!

It’s wonderfully juicy and pairs excellently with beer!

The T-shirt worn by the shop staff was quite unique, featuring the humorous statement: “Everyday is like a hell.” lol

Mugen is one of the izakayas located in Noge Tabemono Yokocho in Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The kushikatsu are very popular and are freshly fried and hot. The interior of the shop has a retro taste with a yatai (food stall) atmosphere.
