What is Shibuya Sky?

Shibuya Sky” is the highest observation point in Shibuya, approximately 230 meters above ground level, and one of the largest rooftop observation spaces in Japan, covering approximately 2,500 square meters. It is located on the rooftop of a commercial building called Shibuya Scramble Square.

Fuji, Tokyo Sky Tree, Tokyo Tower, and other famous landmarks of Tokyo, as well as overlooking the Shibuya Scramble Crossing at your feet. Various devices are set up in the space leading up to the observation deck, making it a recommended spot to enjoy the uplifting feeling of being invited to an extraordinary space.

SKY GATE: a path to opening your senses

From the ticket counter on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square to the 45th floor is connected by an ascending space called “SKY GATE – a path to opening your senses”. From the “LEADING LINE” guided by light and the “SENSING HALL” mesmerized by the live LED ceiling, you can feel the expectation of being led to an extraordinary place. Then, in the “TRANSITION POD,” a sensory elevator that takes you up to the 45th floor, you can experience a futuristic world through images and three-dimensional sound that match the speed and gravity of the elevator.

SKY GALLERY – an observation gallery that widens your perspective

On the 46th floor, there is an indoor observation corridor, “SKY GALLERY – an observation gallery that widens your perspective”. It is a new gallery that crosses images and reality, such as “TIME RIVER,” a 4K video content that changes according to visitors’ “touch” behavior, and “DATA SCAPE,” which combines the view of Shibuya seen from the observation corridor and various data visualized in Shibuya. The gallery is a new gallery that combines video and real life.

In addition to the corridor, there is a souvenir store on the 46th floor where you can purchase souvenirs unique to Shibuya and Tokyo, and Paradise Lounge, a café and bar where you can enjoy the beautiful view. Paradise Lounge is a music bar where you can enjoy snacks and sweets while listening to a selection of music.

Further up from the 46th floor, the rooftop is a space called “SKY STAGE – a stage flung open to the sky” .SKY STAGE offers a variety of performances and activities to enjoy the view of Shibuya in various ways. The “SKY EDGE” overlooks the Scramble Crossing directly below, and the “GEO COMPASS” takes you up to the highest point to enjoy the panoramic view, which is only possible at SKY STAGE, the highest point in Shibuya at approximately 230 meters above ground level.

The rooftop is not the only highlight of Shibuya Scramble Square, the building where Shibuya Sky is located. Inside the tower, which is the highest point in Shibuya at approximately 230 meters and 47 stories above ground, a total of 212 stores, including 7 stores that are new to Japan, 45 stores that are opening in the Shibuya area for the first time, and 37 stores in new business categories, are gathered. Smooth reservation on the web

Tickets can be reserved on the Shibuya Sky reservation website. Admission times are set every 20 minutes, but you can stay as long as you like. The crowds are also displayed for each time, so you can avoid the busiest times to enter.

It may be closed due to inclement weather or other conditions. When the editorial staff visited the park, it was closed due to strong winds and we were unable to enter. Please check the weather forecast in advance and enjoy your visit without any danger.

When heading from Shibuya Station, proceed in the direction of “Exit B6”.

Do you have a baby room?

A baby room is located on the 13th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square. The Baby Room has three nursing areas, four diaper changing stations, a resting area, and a hot water dispenser. Diaper changing stations are also available on the 4th, 6th, 9th, and 14th floors.
In addition, strollers are available for free at the B2F and 2nd floor information counters.
