Summary


Nicknamed “Okayama, Land of Sunshine,” Okayama Prefecture is known by its residents for its mild climate and low precipitation. Kojima, which we visited this time, is a small town located in the southern part of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture.From Kojima Station, rent a car and drive to various spots for sightseeing!There are many places to visit that are unique to Kojima, such as the Uniform Museum and the Jeans Museum, as well as local retro cafes, stylish cafes with spectacular views, the now popular sauna, and finally, nature spots.Unfortunately, the weather was unfavorable, but it was still a healing trip with a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea.When you go to Kojima, please refer to this page!

Travel Itinerary


10:00 Kagoshima Station


The trip starts at Kojima Station.Jeans hanging at the station entrance!


We will rent a car near Kojima Station and set out immediately.



Kojima Station, located in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is the transportation hub of the Kojima area and the starting point for travel and commuting. Jeans hung at the station entrance are a distinctive feature of the scenery. Kojima Station is also used as an access point to nearby tourist attractions and commercial facilities, contributing to the revitalization of the area.


10:30 Kagoshima Student Uniform Museum


The first spot we visited was the Kojima School Uniform Museum.Kojima is actually a production center of school uniforms. This is a place where you can learn about the history of school uniforms.

On the second floor of the museum, there is a corner where visitors can change into their uniforms and take pictures.


You can freely choose the uniform you want to wear from the sailor uniforms, school uniforms, and blazers on display.We tried on our favorite uniforms and took pictures to commemorate the occasion.

11:00 Jeans museum 1 – Betty Smith – (Betty Smith Jeans museum 1)


Next came Japan’s first Jeans Museum. Kojima is also famous for jeans!


This is a spot where visitors can learn about the jeans production process and the history of denim.

12:00 Sun Lemon


It was time for lunch, so I went to a local retro coffee shop for lunch.I felt like I was back in the Showa era.

Sun Lemon is a café spot located in Kojima Ogawa, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. The interior has a retro atmosphere and can be used as a pure coffee shop. The cute lemon objet d’art is a landmark, and cream soda is a popular menu item. It is filled with fruit and is very drinkable. It is also said to have been used as a location for an artist’s music video.


13:30 Floating sauna fuu sauna


Once our stomachs were satisfied, we then went to the sauna, the main attraction of the trip.


You can enjoy a sauna with a spectacular view, and there are also plans to rent out the entire building. Swimsuits and hats are available for rent!

Uki Sauna is a sauna spot located in Kojima Karakoto-cho, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. It features a sauna with a spectacular view, and swimsuits and hats are available for rent, so you can visit empty-handed. According to reviews, it has a reputation for being relaxing with a spectacular view.


15:30 Ojigatake


After getting ready in the sauna, we went to Ojigatake.


From Ojigatake, there is a spectacular view! (Too bad the weather was a little bad…)

Ojigatake, located in Kojima Karakoto-cho, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is a viewpoint from which the beauty of the many islands of the Seto Inland Sea can be seen. It is used as an outdoor and sightseeing spot. It offers a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea. You need to climb 1260 steps to the top of the mountain, but the view from the top is breathtaking, and if the weather is clear, you can even see the Seto Ohashi Bridge.

Stop by the café at the top of Mt.You can enjoy excellent sweets and coffee while enjoying the spectacular view from Ojigatake. A relaxing and blissful time.
