This premium yakatabune cruise offers a truly unforgettable summer evening in Tokyo, combining the best of Japanese tradition: a traditional Japanese set meal (washoku-zen) or shokado bento dinner, shamisen and other entertainment, and of course, the breathtaking fireworks display that has been a Tokyo summer tradition since 1733. ◆ What to Expect ◇ Details Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026 Time: 14:30 to 21:30 *The timing is subject to change. Held annually in late July along the Sumida River, the festival launches approximately 20,000 fireworks from two venues, attracting nearly one million spectators. The festival is famous for its Fireworks Competition (Hanabi Concours), where top pyrotechnicians from across Japan showcase their most innovative and artistic creations. ◆ About the Yakatabune Yakatabune are traditional Japanese pleasure boats with a rich history dating back to the Heian period (794-1185). These elegant wooden boats feature tatami-mat interiors, offering a uniquely Japanese way to enjoy Tokyo's waterways. Dining and cruising on a yakatabune is a beloved cultural tradition that gives you a glimpse into the leisure activities of historical Japan. ![](https://assets.hldycdn.com/56254524-fada-4d71-9ba8-613fa26eee3b.jpg) ![](https://assets.hldycdn.com/ece04dd9-a5e8-4d47-94b1-cf83f1dc0d26.jpg) ![](https://assets.hldycdn.com/44ed0b20-6101-4fc4-b71d-443ed4e7f4ae.jpg) ![](https://assets.hldycdn.com/ca277831-b64b-4d4f-9740-f5d9e0042975.jpg) ![](https://assets.hldycdn.com/94fb3d1a-847d-4e94-92de-b13a02c47ae7.jpg) ![](https://assets.hldycdn.com/0c77ac63-7ed9-4e8c-abfb-a3fc039f2f59.jpg) ![](https://assets.hldycdn.com/7f88031a-61bd-4cc9-893e-8cfe3ee164d4.jpg) ## What's Included - Yakatabune boat cruise ticket (Sumida River Fireworks Festival viewing) - Shamisen and other entertainment on board - English-speaking guide ## What's Not Included - Transportation to and from the pier - Personal expenses and gratuities ## Meeting Point The departure location is currently undetermined, with planned locations including Shinagawa, Hinode, Ariake, and Nakanoshima.
