Omoide Yokocho, Shinjuku (新宿 思い出横丁)
Izakaya area at the west exit of Shinjuku Station This area originated as a black market during the war. Enjoy the retro Showa-era atmosphere while drinking.

Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho is a shopping street located in Nishi-Shinjuku 1-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Also known as Yakitori Yokocho or Shonben Yokocho, it has a history from the postwar black market to the present. It is also known as a drinking district at the west exit of Shinjuku Station, where you can enjoy the retro Showa-era atmosphere while having a drink.
Gifuya (岐阜屋)
First stop: Affordable, Delicious, Generous! – a beloved Chinese restaurant for all. You can just visit for dinner without drinking! It opens in the morning.
The menu ranges from snacks to meals.

Stir-fried meat and vegetables: 530 yen
The fried rice (with soup) for 600 yen is also delicious!

Gifuya is a Chinese restaurant located in Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant is open from morning, so we recommend visiting here for a meal and also for drinking. The restaurant is loved by locals, and the generous portions are very satisfying.
Taro (タロー)
Second stop: A spot where the staff is energetic and friendly! The shop is small, but that is also one of the charms of Omoide Yokocho.
