Summary

This time, we had a “Hashigo-zake (Izakaya Hopping)” in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, a sunny place facing the Seto Inland Sea.

Unlike the Bikan Historical Quarter, there are three stores in the shopping district with a lively atmosphere where locals gather.All of the restaurants were warm enough for tourists to feel at home.

Kurashiki Station(倉敷駅)

This Hashigo-zake will start from Kurashiki Station!

Kurashiki Station is a station of West Japan Railway Company (JR West) located in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. The Bikan Historical Area can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot. In addition, there are many stores, including souvenir shops and cafes, around Kurashiki Station.

Robatayaki no Omise Hoshiya Shokudo(ロバタヤキノオミセ ほしや食堂)

Izakaya is located a 4-minute walk from Kurashiki Station.

The restaurant is clean and bright, perfect for a girls’ night out✨We have counter seating, tables, and upstairs seating. It can be used in various situations.

The restaurant’s first choice is robatayaki, which uses fresh ingredients.My personal recommendation was oden!

Robatayaki no Omise Hoshiya Shokudo is a robatayaki restaurant located in Achi, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. Located a 4-minute walk from Kurashiki Station, the restaurant is clean and bright, perfect for a women’s party. With counter seats, tables, and upstairs seating, the restaurant can be used for a variety of situations. The restaurant’s first choice is Robatayaki (Charcoal grilled fresh seafood) using fresh ingredients, and Oden is also recommended.

Kinpei(金平)

Yakitori restaurant located a 9-minute walk from Kurashiki Station.

The restaurant has an L-shaped counter facing the kitchen, lined with small, low-backed chairs.There were a few people drinking from noon onward, enjoying themselves even in the quiet atmosphere.

As the sign says, the main menu item is yakitori (grilled chicken), which can be ordered for 400 yen or more, two at a time! I enjoyed both the parent and young birds, thanks to the kindness of the waiter.

Both volume and chewiness are 100 points! The sweetened green onions also accentuate the dish and are delicious!

Seseri (meat around the neck), young chicken and parent chicken(400 yen)

Same part but totally different chewiness… And the seasoning of just salt and pepper is the best!

Kinpei is a yakitori restaurant located in Achi, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, a 9-minute walk from Kurashiki Station. The restaurant has an L-shaped counter with a row of low-backed small chairs. A few people can be seen here and there drinking from noon, enjoying the quiet atmosphere. The menu consists mainly of yakitori, which can be ordered two at a time starting at 400 yen.

Sakana-an(魚庵)

Izakaya located a 9-minute walk from Kurashiki Station.(The business is now closed.)

The restaurant was spacious, with tables, a counter, and a tatami room!

The menu features a variety of fish dishes.The menu offers everything from sashimi to elaborate dishes, and if you want to eat delicious fish from Kurashiki You can eat everything here!

Beer set menu is 1500 yen for a favorite drink and a small plate + sashimi + main dish. I recommend it because you will be able to enjoy the
