The Aurora and Forest Story Exhibition — What Hygge and Fairy Tales Taught Us, held for the first time in Nagoya to mark the 40th anniversary of Denki Bunka Kaikan's opening (organized by TV Aichi, Hands Pro, and BV Communications), continues at Denki Bunka Kaikan (2-2-5 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya) through Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Since opening, the exhibition has drawn visitors of all ages, and organizers recently held a ceremony marking the milestone of surpassing 20,000 total visitors.
The 20,000th visitor was a family from Nakamura Ward, Nagoya, who received commemorative gifts including a Nordic-pattern canvas, a Nordic proverb keychain, and original acrylic magnets.
The family said they came looking for a cool place to spend time, and shared impressions such as enjoying the Lantern Forest and being struck by the scents throughout the venue.
With about three weeks left before the exhibition closes, the venue offers plenty of photo spots — from a fairy-tale-inspired world to the ice-like Crystal Ice Room — for capturing summer memories. Visitors looking for a cool escape this summer can head to the Aurora and Forest Story Exhibition to discover hints of "fragments of happiness" found in the Nordic way of cherishing life's small joys.

Aurora Immersive Theater
This immersive space lets visitors step into a world of aurora spreading across the winter sky, woven from fantastical light. Spring, with its stirrings of life; summer, when the sun keeps rising even at night; autumn, with its vivid foliage; and winter... Through seasonal scenery and the aurora, the space evokes the harsh yet beautiful nature of the Nordic region.
Visitors can also enjoy a variety of other content throughout the exhibition.
