Bise-Enpu Private Villa Resort Opens in Okinawa's Fukugi Forest on March 20

A new private villa resort, "bise-enpu," has opened in the Bise area of Motobu-cho, in northern Okinawa—a location recognized for its traditional Fukugi tree windbreaks. With the addition of the third villa, "Kayu," all three villas will be open from March 20, 2026.

A Special Location Protected by the Fukugi Forest

The Bise district is known as a village surrounded by Fukugi, traditional windbreak trees found throughout Okinawa. Fukugi have long been planted to shield residents from strong sea winds, earning them the name "trees that protect the home." As a result, this area has strict regulations to preserve its natural environment and landscape, making it a place where building new accommodations is far from straightforward.

Within this protected landscape, bise-enpu (備瀬縁梵) has come to life. The resort was developed by Fuu Co., Ltd., a company with a track record of operating popular accommodations in northern Okinawa such as villa WHITE and AONAKIJIN.

The mystical scenic spot

A short walk from the villas, there is a hidden scenic spot called "Bise no Warumi." "Warumi" is an Okinawan word meaning a cleft in a cliff—pass through a gap in the rocks and an emerald-green sea suddenly spreads before you. Locally regarded as a sacred place where the gods descend, it has long been carefully preserved and was once a secret spot known only to those in the know.

A Convenient Base for Northern Okinawa Sightseeing

Bise-enpu is also an excellent base for exploring northern Okinawa. Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is approximately a 5-minute drive away, and the surrounding area is home to well-known sights including the Bise Fukugi lined road, Bise Beach, and Ocean Expo Park. Spend the day enjoying Okinawa's nature and sightseeing, then return to the villa in the evening for a more relaxed pace.

Three Villas, Each with a Distinct Concept

Bise-enpu consists of three villas, each built around a different concept.
