The roguelike RPG Chaos Zero Nightmare, developed by SUPER CREATIVE and published by Smilegate Megaport, has launched its second preseason update. Announced on April 9, the update introduces a new 5-star fighter, a brand-new battle mode, and a preview of upcoming seasonal content.
New 5-Star Fighter: Diana
Diana is a "Passion" attribute "Hunter" fighter designed to apply continuous pressure and accumulate damage against enemies. She can activate "Resonance" and "Rest" effects by discarding cards — Resonance deals bonus damage when a card is discarded, while Rest automatically triggers the effect of the discarded card, enabling strategic play combinations.
A new 5-star partner, Sofia, has also been added alongside Diana. Sofia enhances the assigned fighter with increased critical damage and extra attacks when specific keyword cards are discarded.
New Content: All-Out War
All-Out War is a new battle mode where players re-challenge boss monsters previously encountered in the Great Rift to earn rewards. Three different bosses are available, and players can form up to three separate teams — one per boss.
Season 3 Preview and System Updates
During this preseason, players can get an early taste of Season 3 "Voices Echoing Across the Galaxy," the next installment of seasonal Chaos content, and collect save data from the preview. The update also includes overall improvements to the partner system, new fighter bonus lobbies, and a new Unigram story.
Celebration Events
Several events are being held to mark the preseason launch and Diana's arrival.
Operation: Firebreak (through April 29) — Play Chaos to earn rewards, and consume fighter save data to activate the "Phase Projection" buff. Rewards include crystals and various growth materials.
Love Resting at the Tip of Wings — An event celebrating the addition of Diana. Players can solve cases alongside Diana to earn limited-time achievements and rewards.
Half-Anniversary Pre-Event — To mark six months since the game's service launch, a dedicated event page is now live where players can earn rewards based on the amount of Ether spent.
