Chiikawa Pocket ("Chiipoke"), the first smartphone app based on Chiikawa, is holding a "Mermaid Island" event from Friday, July 24, 2026, letting players experience the world of Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island. New costumes tied to the event are also being released, along with a campaign on the official Chiipoke X account to mark the occasion.
Chiikawa Pocket is a smartphone game app based on the popular manga series Chiikawa, created by illustrator Nagano and originally posted on X (formerly Twitter). Built around the concept of being always together with the Chiikawa characters, anytime and anywhere, the app offers a collection of activities that capture the world of Chiikawa. It has been available since March 27, 2025, in 43 countries and regions worldwide.
"Mermaid Island" Event Launches With New Costumes
During the Mermaid Island event, clearing event missions rewards players with items such as 5,000 Small Candies — about 100 times the usual amount for some rewards.
Progressing through the event's boss battles also unlocks the "Welcome to the Island" flag, featuring Hitoha and Futaba, while a Siren is set to appear in the challenge battles.
Additionally, logging in on the second day brings a special login bonus: the Mermaid Island costume for Hachiware.

"Chiipoke Chase Challenge" Campaign Celebrates the New Costumes
A campaign called the "Chiipoke Chase Challenge" is being held to celebrate the debut of the Mermaid Island costumes.
Players who complete the challenge receive a serial code for 10 Mysterious Branches.
Additionally, among participants who join the campaign and share it on X, 50 winners will be chosen by lottery to receive a "Chiipoke Clear Poster."

As part of the campaign, players receive a daily "Ad Skip (1 Day)" gift, letting them play ad-free every day through the movie's opening.
A special gacha with an increased rate for ★7 "Otasuke" is also being held. Since the number of gacha draws resets daily at 3:00 PM, players can take part every day during the campaign.

The commercial will not air at every TOHO Cinemas or AEON Cinema location.
