CIBONE in Omotesando, Tokyo, will hold an exhibition titled "BEARERS ─ Time / Ideas / Messages / Attitudes," showing works by four artists and groups from Japan and abroad, from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 15, 2026.
The exhibition takes its starting point from the word "bearer," meaning something that carries, or the one who carries it. Its theme is to convey not only the objects themselves but also the time, ideas, messages, and attitudes of the makers behind them.

SUDDEN OBJECT
SUDDEN OBJECT is an experimental design studio founded by architects who gained experience at the international architecture firm OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture).
The studio began its activities to explore the possibilities of materials and forms, away from the constraints of day-to-day architectural practice. It creates objects that sit on "the boundary between practicality and fiction," such as furniture, lighting, and sculptural products.
The studio also collects items such as antique furniture whose value has been forgotten, and develops them into new works while reinterpreting the background and potential of what already exists. The exhibition shows works presented at this year's Milano Salone together with exclusive pieces made for CIBONE.

WASTED by Potato Head
WASTED by Potato Head is a circular project born from Desa Potato Head, a creative village on the Indonesian island of Bali that champions a regenerative resort. The project looks at waste as the raw material of the future. Through collaboration with designers and local craftspeople, including creative director Max Lamb, it gives new value to things that would otherwise have been discarded.
It is also an attempt to explore the possibilities of new ways of making, starting from local materials, techniques, and human connections, in response to a problem of global scale.
The exhibition presents a new collection from WASTED by Potato Head. A workshop open to anyone will also be held during the exhibition.

Willem Van Hooff
Willem Van Hooff's work begins with looking at forgotten or overlooked techniques, products, and materials that go back to ancient times. By digging up the background and stories behind them and making them visible anew as contemporary works, he seeks to connect what existed in the past to the future.
The message cup CIBONE commissioned from him was made on the basis of CIBONE's belief that introducing a product should convey feelings and serve as a tool for communication with others. The designer himself chose words that he values for their connection to human attitude and spirit, rather than words as decoration. The hope is that people and objects will build a relationship that brings them a little closer together, creating a primitive experience.
A message glass cup made in collaboration with glass artist Jeffe VH will also be unveiled.

Yuta Morimoto (森本優太)
Yuta Morimoto (森本優太) was born in 1989 in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. After graduating from beauty school in 2010, he worked as a hairstylist for more than ten years in Harajuku, Nagoya, and Australia. Since 2023 he has been studying under ceramic artist Teppei Ono (小野哲平). While learning about art, he works with fundamental materials such as clay, ash, and fire, layering onto them his own sensibilities and impulses as someone living today, and expresses himself through ceramics. His work has an appeal in which tension and pop precariously coexist.
The exhibition presents works featuring his signature barbed-wire motif, along with new works created for the exhibition.
Morimoto himself will be at the venue on October 30.
About the Exhibition
Through the works of four artists and groups with different backgrounds, the exhibition looks at the time and ideas that objects carry, their relationship with materials, the attitudes of the makers, and new points of contact with society.
The aim is not simply to sell objects but to convey, through them, values that are not yet visible. CIBONE sees this as what it has always valued and as a role that will not change.
During the exhibition, in addition to the WASTED by Potato Head workshop, an artist will also be at the venue.
