COA's Journey to Becoming Japan's Most-Booked Salon
COA has achieved remarkable recognition in the beauty industry. The salon won the GOLD Prize at the HOT PEPPER Beauty AWARD for both 2024 and 2025, an accolade given by HOT PEPPER Beauty, Japan's largest beauty salon search and booking platform operated by Recruit.
Within just three years of establishing COA Corporation, the salon reached the top position in the Kanto region (in the 10+ seats category) out of more than 50,000 salons nationwide. This achievement has made COA the most prominent and largest beauty salon in Japan's beauty industry.
The first COA GINZA location opened in October 2021 in a prime Ginza location. The salon quickly gained strong support from women of all ages with its spacious 170-tsubo (approximately 562 square meters) layout featuring 57 styling stations, semi-private spaces with partitions at all seats, fully private VIP rooms, and a luxurious interior design.
COA has built a reputation for exceptional technical skills and high customer retention rates. Daichi Aoki
Representative Director and CEO of COA. He has opened COA GINZA, a 170-tsubo salon in front of Ginza Station, along with locations in Ginza and Omotesando. He achieved three consecutive wins as Japan's number one beauty salon in sales at the fastest pace in history. He has received the Kami Charisma award (beauty industry's equivalent of Michelin stars). Beyond developing COAPLUS for domestic and international markets, his activities span widely including Japanese tours, overseas hair shows, television and commercial appearances, and collaboration with other manufacturers.
Kyohei Konishi
Representative Director and CEO of COA. He operates a total of five locations in Ginza and Omotesando. Known for his exceptional technical skills, particularly in layer cutting, his activities extend beyond salon work to include magazine features, industry publications, television and media appearances, major manufacturer advertising, domestic and international instructor activities, seminars, manufacturer advertising photography, and hair and makeup for Paris Collections. His combined social media following reaches 1.15 million, with annual personal sales of 120 million yen.
