COBRA POP UP STORE - Memory of Buichi Terasawa - in Sendai opens at TSUTAYA Sendai Ekimae Store (TSUTAYA仙台駅前店) in Sendai, Miyagi, on Sunday, November 15, 2026, and runs through Thursday, December 31. The event is organized by CRAZY BUMP, which holds and operates exhibitions themed on subculture such as manga, anime, and tokusatsu.
Cobra is a landmark of sci-fi action manga whose appeal has endured across the ages. Beyond the charm of its characters, including protagonist Cobra, his beautiful partner Lady, and his archenemy Crystal Boy, its many famous lines and gripping action scenes feel as fresh as ever, with no hint of the 45 years that have passed. The series continues to win fans across generations and borders.
The pop-up store marks the 45th anniversary of the series, which began serialization in 1978, and looks back on the appeal of Cobra once again. It is also a tribute to Buichi Terasawa (寺沢武一), who passed away in September 2023, and the event is titled "Memory of Buichi Terasawa" in his honor. Visitors can come to talk about Cobra and the other characters who live on in fans' hearts.
