Cross Summoner:R (クロスサマナー：R), a classic adventure RPG for iOS and Android, released a major update on October 13, 2026 to mark the first anniversary of its launch. The update opens a new server, Forsein (フォーセイン), and moves the main story into Part 2. Two new characters, Dean (ディーン) and Rena (レナ), also join the game, widening the options for building a party.

About Cross Summoner:R
Cross Summoner:R is a role-playing game about an adventure as a summoner. Players collect and train a colorful cast of characters and build a party by combining roles such as guardian, physical attack, magic attack and healing. They take on the main story by pairing characters with War Souls (ウォーソウル), and can test their strategy in a variety of content including the Arena, the Knight's Tower and guild features. The system is simple and easy to understand, so even players new to the game can start their adventure right away.
New Server "Forsein" Opens
A new server, Forsein (フォーセイン), opens alongside the update. Players can start their adventure from the same starting line as other summoners, without worrying about the progress gap with existing players. While the new server is open, the operations team offers a login bonus exclusive to the new server, an exclusive welcome summon and support with growth materials, helping new summoners collect characters and build a party efficiently.

Main Story Part 2 Begins, with New Characters Dean and Rena
With the first-anniversary update, the main story of Cross Summoner:R officially enters Part 2. The new character Dean (ディーン), who appears at the same time, is a magic attacker. His ultimate move, "Guns Blazing" (ガンズ・ブレイジング), summons hunting rifles from all directions to strafe enemies, and always knocks back any enemy it hits.
Rena (レナ), who travels with Dean, is a physical attacker. Her ultimate move, "Sacred Storm" (セイクリッド・ストーム), uses the gale stirred up by the wings of an ancient dragon to pull enemies within range toward the front of her and deal damage, with a certain probability of leaving them dizzy.
With these two new characters, the choices for building an attacker lineup expand further.
Dean is a young man who grew up in a small village surrounded by forest on the frontier of the Holy Kingdom of Forsein (フォーセイン神聖王国). He was originally an ordinary human who could not use magic, but when he was attacked by a monster and cornered, he awakened his power as a summoner. Since then he has been an apprentice summoner of the Holy Kingdom, training under Fortis (フォルティス). Strong-willed and taciturn, he is sincere and dutiful, and values keeping his promises above all.

Rena is a girl of the ancient dragon clan, born in the "Phantom Beast Realm" (幻獣界), one of the other worlds. She was summoned to the surface world after forming a contract with Dean. Her power is immeasurable, and she is regarded as a higher being comparable to demons and angels. Gentle in manner and kind to everyone, she is in fact very proactive and always acts with confidence. She usually behaves cheerfully, but inside she holds a heartfelt wish: "I want to save the people who matter to me."

First-Anniversary and New Server Campaigns
To mark the first anniversary and welcome new summoners, the operations team is running a login bonus exclusive to the new server, Forsein. Players who create a character on the new server and log in during the period can receive it, which helps new summoners secure growth materials. The 1st Anniversary Login Bonus is available to all players who log in during the period, regardless of server, as an expression of gratitude to the summoners who have supported Cross Summoner:R over the long term.

A limited welcome summon for new players is also planned, offering a higher chance than usual of obtaining strong characters and War Souls to help build a starting party. In addition to this update, the operations team has also announced that new characters and a Halloween-themed event are coming.
