Daimaru Kobe is offering new ways to enjoy the summer of 2026 in Kobe's Former Foreign Settlement (Kyu-Kyoryuchi) area. From July 22 (Wednesday) through August 18 (Tuesday), the department store is holding a collaboration tied to the release of the Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook Kobe City, along with an in-store quiz rally, a prize drawing, and shopping perks for the surrounding neighborhood. In August, a traditional summer festival will also take place at the store.

To mark the July 23 (Thursday) release of the Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook Kobe City, Daimaru Kobe is running a collaboration campaign from July 22 (Wednesday) through August 18 (Tuesday), 2026.

Daimaru Kobe is distributing an original booklet linked to the Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook Kobe City, featuring a "Kobe Walking Model Course" supervised by the Globe-Trotter team. Visitors can take the booklet along on a walk through the city and discover more of Kobe's charm alongside the guidebook.
In-Store Quiz Rally
Event period: July 23 (Thu) – August 18 (Tue)
Quiz spots are set up in three locations inside Daimaru Kobe (1st floor south entrance, 3rd floor near the café, and 4th floor near the café). The quizzes draw on Kobe's highlights as featured in the Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook Kobe City, offering a fun way to learn more about the city.
Customers who spend ¥5,500 or more (tax included) on a single receipt at Daimaru Kobe and submit an entry are eligible for a drawing: five winners who answer all quiz questions correctly will each receive a ¥5,000 shopping voucher valid at Daimaru Kobe.
Step 1: On the entry form included with the booklet, stamp the number believed to be the correct answer for each quiz.
Step 2: Make a purchase of ¥5,500 or more (tax included) on a single receipt at Daimaru Kobe and fill in the required information on the entry form.
