DKB, whose Japan debut with the single "Kakegae no Nai Kimi e" (かけがえのない君へ) on Nippon Columbia was recently announced for August 26, is set to hold a two-man live with labelmate MXV on August 23. The event is titled DKB × MXV SPECIAL TWO-MAN LIVE 2026.
DKB debuted in South Korea in February 2020 and is a boys group made up of E-CHAN, D1, GK, HEECHAN, JUNSEO, and HARRY-JUNE, all from South Korea, along with YUKU, who is from Japan. In 2025, members HEECHAN and HARRY-JUNE appeared on the popular show "BOYS II PLANET," drawing attention for their strong performance skills. The group's name, DKB, stands for "Dark Brown Eyes," reflecting the members' shared wish to spread their music from Asia to the rest of the world through the dark-colored eyes common across the continent.
Staying true to that name, DKB's activities in Japan now include this collaboration with MXV, a Japanese boys group.
MXV made its major debut on Nippon Columbia this past June with "Perfume," a song written, composed, and arranged by Yuma Sanada of 7ORDER. The dance-and-vocal group consists of five members — YUTA, MASAKI, TAIYU, TAICHI, and KEI. The name "MXV" is short for "MIX FIVE," expressing the group's aim to blend each member's individuality — singing, rap, dance, and performance — into a new style of entertainment. TAICHI, who is half Japanese and half Korean, also has prior debut experience in South Korea. MXV followed up with its second single, "WAVE," in July, continuing an active run of releases.
With two Japan-Korea boys groups sharing the stage, expectations are running high for what each group will bring to the performance, and a collaboration stage is also planned. It promises to be a can't-miss night.
