Following the well-received broadcast of the first Dragon Ball theatrical film last year, TOKYO MX (Tokyo Metropolitan Television) will air the second installment, Dragon Ball: Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle, on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 8:00 PM.
Released in theaters in 1987, the film was a major box-office hit. Goku and Krillin stake their apprenticeship under Master Roshi on a quest to rescue the "Sleeping Princess," setting off a grand adventure through a demon castle.
Standing in their way is the terrifying Demon King Lucifer and the army of monsters he commands. Familiar companions such as Bulma and Yamcha join the fray, bringing both laughter and action to the story.
Continuing on from last year, fans can once again enjoy this classic Dragon Ball adventure.

Story
Goku visits Master Roshi for training, where he meets Krillin, a fellow martial artist who trained at 多林寺. Master Roshi sets the two of them a challenge: whoever brings back the Sleeping Princess held captive in the demon castle will become his disciple. Fired up with fighting spirit, Goku and Krillin head for the demon castle. Meanwhile, Bulma, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar — now on summer vacation — set off after them toward the same destination. At the demon castle, Demon King Lucifer is in the midst of carrying out a fearsome plan.
