The Masters Manga Artists Print Exhibition, currently running at the 2F Terrace of Kichijoji Tokyu, is showcasing print works featuring characters from the classic manga The Gutsy Frog. To mark June 6 — known in Japan as "Frog Day" (カエルの日) — the manga's creator, Yasumi Yoshizawa, will make a special in-store appearance and autograph session.

About The Gutsy Frog

Set in the working-class neighborhoods of Tokyo, The Gutsy Frog follows the misadventures of Hiroshi, an energetic junior high school student, and Pyonkichi, a flat frog stuck permanently to Hiroshi's T-shirt. More than 50 years after the manga first began serialization, Hiroshi, Pyonkichi, and their colorful cast of supporting characters continue to be recognized and cherished across generations.
