K Village Korean Language School is bringing Japan's first POCA SPOT by Killage — a K-pop photo card specialty shop originating from South Korea — to Shibuya. The shop opens on May 20 at K Village Korean Language School Shibuya Station Front Campus, and anyone is welcome to visit and make purchases, not just enrolled students.
What Is POCA SPOT?

POCA SPOT is a popular K-pop trading card specialty shop from South Korea where customers can purchase random photo cards. Using a Lucky Draw vending machine exclusive to the physical store, shoppers experience the unique thrill of not knowing which card they'll receive until the moment it's drawn.
The concept centers not only on the joy of collecting, but also on the excitement of the draw itself — the anticipation of discovering a rare card or one you don't yet own.
About POCA SPOT by Killage

POCA SPOT has become a well-known destination in South Korea's key K-pop districts, including Hongdae and Myeongdong. The Shibuya Station Front location marks the brand's Japan debut.
K-pop idol photo cards — commonly known as trading cards — are often included randomly with album purchases, giving them strong collectability. The appeal lies not only in owning the cards, but in the unpredictability: any draw could yield a rare find or a card that completes your collection.
At POCA SPOT by Killage, all products go through strict authenticity verification before being made available for purchase — only officially licensed merchandise is sold. The shop's selection is also curated using data from POCAMARKET, focusing on photo cards with proven fan demand.
Why K Village Korean Language School Launched POCA SPOT

Expanding Beyond Language Learning to Enjoying Korean Culture
K Village Korean Language School has provided opportunities to engage with Korean culture through language study, study abroad programs, Korean beauty, and media. Observing that many students come to the school motivated by K-pop or Korean dramas, the team wanted to offer more ways to enjoy Korean culture beyond the classroom.
Providing a Space to Experience Buying Trading Cards
In Japan, the chance to experience the real-life excitement of buying K-pop trading cards through a random draw format has been limited. By introducing the POCA SPOT format — well established in South Korea — K Village Korean Language School aims to give fans the thrill of the draw and the opportunity to encounter cards they haven't found before.
Future Plans for POCA SPOT by Killage

Plans are underway to expand POCA SPOT to additional locations across Japan. The shop also features a large mirror, offering visitors a photo experience reminiscent of Korean pop culture settings.
