Karaoke Manekineko has announced a collaboration with the Pokémon 30th anniversary, set to roll out across 45 prefectures and approximately 700 locations nationwide. The full details of the campaign are scheduled to be revealed in April 2026.
Cat and Meow-Themed Pokémon Take Center Stage
The latest featured theme for Pokémon's 30th anniversary is "singing," and the collaboration with Karaoke Manekineko — a karaoke chain — makes for a natural fit. In what is described as a first in Pokémon history, the campaign will spotlight Pokémon whose names include "Neko" (cat) or "Nya" (meow), along with their companions, in an original initiative exclusive to this collaboration.
Special collaboration rooms are in the works for locations across all 45 prefectures — also a first for Karaoke Manekineko. These rooms will transform everyday karaoke spaces into immersive Pokémon environments, blending the fun of singing with the beloved Pokémon universe. Additional song-based events and other nationwide activities for Pokémon fans are also being planned.
A Family-Friendly Space for All Ages
Karaoke Manekineko was among the first karaoke chains to introduce fully non-smoking rooms, making it a welcoming destination for families with young children. The collaboration with Pokémon — a franchise loved across generations — is well-suited to this environment, where parents and children can enjoy the experience together.
The chain also maintains its signature "bring your own food and drinks" policy, meaning visitors can bring their favorite snacks, beverages, or even Pokémon merchandise to personalize their karaoke room experience.

Pokémon celebrated its 30th anniversary on February 27, 2026, marking three decades since the release of Pocket Monsters Red and Green in Japan. The official Pokémon 30th anniversary site is available at https://www.pokemon.co.jp/30th/.
