A refreshed Kawai Kanazawa is set to open on Saturday, April 18, in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, serving as the quasi-flagship store for Kawai Musical Instruments in the Hokuriku region.
Originally established as the "Kawai Kanazawa Shop" in 1968, the store has been part of the local music scene for over half a century. Now rebranded as Kawai Kanazawa, it reopens with a new look as a brand showcase location for the Hokuriku area.
The store carries a lineup of high-value-added products, including the flagship grand piano "Shigeru Kawai," alongside an extensive selection of sheet music. On-site, visitors will also find the "Kawai Music School," which offers a dedicated environment for piano lessons.
A highlight of the new space is the music salon "燈 Akari," which can accommodate approximately 20 guests. The salon is set to host concerts, recitals, and music events, creating a community-oriented venue where local music fans and performers can gather. The name "燈 Akari" reflects the aspiration to gently "light up" people's hearts through the power of music.
