Ketsu Battler Places 3rd in "Manga We Want To See Animated Ranking 2026"

Ketsu Battler, a manga produced through a collaboration between Kayac Inc. and Monthly CoroCoro Comic, has placed 3rd in the "Manga We Want To See Animated Ranking" held at AnimeJapan 2026, one of the world's largest anime events.

To celebrate the achievement, a second set of LINE stickers is confirmed to launch. Volume 4 of the manga is also due out on Tuesday, April 28.

Now in its 9th year, the ranking is a popular annual feature where fans vote for the manga they most want to see adapted into anime. Past titles that have claimed the top spot earn "Hall of Fame" status, making it a closely watched ranking within the anime industry.

Ketsu Battler — which takes its name from the game of the same title — follows battlers who fight with swords gripped between their buttocks, delivering a series of intense and serious battles in a unique setting. The manga's bold action and world-building have earned it a following well beyond CoroCoro's regular readership.

Second LINE Sticker Set Coming to Celebrate the Award

To mark the 3rd-place finish, a second set of Ketsu Battler LINE stickers is set to go live. Fans can enjoy them alongside the first set, available here:

Comment from Takade Naotaka

Thank you so much for the 3rd-place honor in the "Manga We Want To See Animated Ranking."

To everyone who voted and cheered us on — I'm truly grateful.

So many people have said they want to see the butt battles in motion, which makes me incredibly happy.

As the author of the manga, I'd love to see Ketsu Battler move and speak too.

Since fighting with a sword gripped between one's buttocks is such an unusual style, there isn't much reference material out there for animators.

But I sincerely hope that animation professionals will take on the challenge of bringing Ketsu Battler to life!
