Kohei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia," commonly known as "Hero Aca," began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. Even after the manga's conclusion in August 2024, its popularity continues to thrive, with anime series and other media mix projects captivating fans worldwide. Last June, the "Kohei Horikoshi 'My Hero Academia' Original Art Exhibition" opened in Tokyo, followed by an Osaka venue, with tickets selling out at both locations and concluding with great success. Now, the exhibition is finally making its Kyushu debut, opening at Fukuoka Mitsukoshi from Saturday, April 11 to Sunday, June 14, 2026.
This exhibition commemorates the completion of the "My Hero Academia" manga, reflecting on 10 years of its journey.
Through Horikoshi's original manuscripts, visitors can relive the trajectory of the story woven by protagonist Deku (Izuku Midoriya) and other characters—"the tale of how everyone became the greatest heroes." Additionally, the main highlight features a wealth of valuable production materials revealed on the largest scale ever with Horikoshi's full cooperation. The exhibition showcases overwhelming artistic skill and precious materials created during the manuscript completion process that can only be seen here. Furthermore, production anecdotes and work commentary by Horikoshi himself will also be shared.

About the Work / "My Hero Academia" (Boku no Hero Academia)
In a world where most people possess some kind of supernatural ability called a "Quirk," the profession of "Hero"—protecting people and society from accidents and disasters and standing against villains who misuse their Quirks—has become an aspirational occupation. The protagonist, Izuku Midoriya (nicknamed Deku), was "Quirkless" without any ability. However, the No. 1 Hero All Might recognized Deku's hidden heroic qualities and passed on his Quirk "One For All" to him. After persistent effort, Deku enrolled in the prestigious hero training school U.A. High School, and the story of his journey to become "the greatest hero" begins. This highly popular hero action manga has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation worldwide (as of March 2025, including digital editions). The series has expanded into TV anime series, theatrical anime films, video games, stage productions, and other media mix projects. A fanbook is scheduled for release in May 2025, followed by the first art book in June.
