The "Let's go to Kyoto. Presents NAKED meets World Heritage Site Daigoji Temple - Daigo Cherry Blossom Viewing -" night event is currently underway at World Heritage Site Daigoji Temple in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto, running from March 27 to April 12, 2026. The approximately 700 cherry trees throughout the temple grounds — including weeping cherries, Somei Yoshino, mountain cherries, and double-petaled cherries — have reached their peak bloom.

The event marks the first time the Garan (temple precinct) area of Daigoji Temple has been used for such an occasion. Visitors can stroll through the cherry blossom-filled grounds while taking in fantastical art installations created by NAKED, INC. Highlights include a tea ceremony experience set against the backdrop of the National Treasure Five-Story Pagoda and a collaborative projection mapping show at the National Treasure Kondo (Golden Hall) with JR Tokai's "Let's go to Kyoto." campaign.
Highlights
National Treasure "Five-Story Pagoda" Light-Up and Outdoor Tea Ceremony Art
In front of the National Treasure Five-Story Pagoda, a special tea service combines a standing tea ceremony performance with NAKED's art technology. Using stone-ground Uji matcha from Fukujuen, digital art unfolds in harmony with traditional tea ceremony movements.
Regular seats (¥1,000 including tax) and special seats (¥1,500 including tax, limited availability) are available. Special seat guests also receive an exclusive souvenir.

Limited Edition Event Goshuin (Temple Seal)
A limited-quantity collaborative goshuin featuring the event's key visual with a special night cherry blossom design is available at a dedicated corner in front of the Kannondo Hall. It is distributed only during the night event period and priced at ¥1,000 per piece (limited quantities).

Japanese Wax Candle Traditional Craft Workshop
A traditional craft workshop featuring Japanese wax candles lets participants engage with the spirit of craftsmanship passed down through Kyoto. The experience costs ¥1,500 (tax included) and allows visitors to take home a handmade souvenir of the Daigo Cherry Blossom Viewing.

Cherry Blossom Viewing Food Menu
The food area offers Kyoto-style oden, sakura latte, and a selection of teas from Fukujuen including sencha, hojicha, and genmaicha.

Featured Works
Niomon Gate in Spring Light

The illuminated Niomon Gate and its guardian statues stand quietly in the night. Passing through the gate, lanterns marking the way greet visitors. With a cherry blossom-patterned lantern in hand, melodies of spring evoking the historic "Daigo Cherry Blossom Viewing" softly fill the air.
National Treasure "Kondo" Cherry Blossom Picture Scroll

At the National Treasure Kondo (Golden Hall), a projection mapping show unfolds featuring traditional patterns and imagery evoking the history of Daigoji Temple. A special collaborative performance with JR Tokai's "Let's go to Kyoto." campaign is also included. Together with the illuminated full-bloom cherry blossoms, visitors can enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
National Treasure "Five-Story Pagoda" Night Cherry Blossom Tea Seat

In front of the National Treasure Five-Story Pagoda, a special tea service is presented, combining a standing tea ceremony performance with NAKED's art technology. Surrounded by cherry blossoms, visitors can enjoy tea and sweets while experiencing the movements and light effects up close. (No advance reservation required; additional fee applies.)
Shimmering Cherry Blossom Blizzard

The illuminated Bentendo and cherry blossoms are quietly reflected in Bententen Pond. Gazing at the shifting light and scenery on the water's surface, visitors can take in the beauty of the changing season at their own pace.
