The recurring "Refining Festival" event has returned to the MMORPG Ragnarok Online under a new title: "Glastheim Refining Festival — Time-Space Dragon and the Sage's Magic Furnace Level.5 Plus."
Players can earn "Magic Energy" by completing item delivery quests, monster hunting quests, and visiting in-game tourism spots around the world of Ragnarok Online. That Magic Energy can then be spent to refine equipment items without using any catalysts or Zeny, removing a significant cost barrier to upgrading gear.
Every few days, a special refining window also becomes available. During these windows, a failed refinement attempt will only lower the refine value rather than destroying the item outright — making it a safer time to push for higher refine levels on valuable equipment.
Rare and valuable items are also available as rewards throughout the event.
