S-PiCK CAFE (esupikku kafe), a collaboration cafe focused on idols and characters, is jointly run by "SPINNS," the youth-focused apparel brand of Human Forum Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto), and "Sweets Paradise," the dessert buffet chain operated by Inoue Shoji Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Osaka). For its next collaboration, the cafe has chosen the Korean character ANKYUNG MANDOO.
About the Collaboration Cafe
Amid the ongoing "oshi-katsu" (fan support) boom, collaboration cafes have become a familiar form of promotion. S-PiCK CAFE was built around the concepts of fan activities and cuteness. By focusing its lineup on idol and character IP, the cafe aims to become the destination people associate with their favorite idols and characters, giving fans a place to enjoy their passions in person.

The next collaboration cafe is the "ANKYUNG MANDOO. Collaboration Cafe," featuring the Korean character ANKYUNG MANDOO. The character's official name is ANKYUNG MANDOO., known in Japan by the friendlier nickname "Megane Gyoza" (glasses dumpling). Hugely popular in Korea, this marks the character's first-ever collaboration cafe held in Japan.

Reservations are accepted through the official Sweets Paradise app on a first-come, first-served basis, opening 5 weeks before the desired visit date and closing at 8:00 PM the day before. ANKYUNG MANDOO. is a character created by Korean artist Ankyungmandoo. Its pixel-art, retro-game-inspired design evokes 90s games and animation, striking a chord with Korea's Gen Z amid the current Y2K boom. The character's signature red glasses, along with its sparkling yet expressionless eyes, make it a favorite for stickers and photo edits.
