"Showaru Shindan Ten" (性悪診断展) is a limited-run entertainment exhibition opening at Arube Hall in Nagoya on June 12, 2026, and running through June 21. The event combines displays of relatable, slightly mischievous everyday moments with an AI-powered personality diagnosis, inviting visitors to laugh with friends or partners as they uncover their own inner "showaru."
What Is Showaru Shindan Ten?
"Showaru" (性悪, pronounced "shōwaru") refers to the playful, slightly mean-spirited side of a person that most people carry but rarely show. The exhibition embraces this trait not as something to hide, but as a charming and very human quality. Rather than being a standard art show, it is described as an "araru × diagnosis" entertainment experience — a space where visitors can get a laugh out of recognizing themselves (and each other) in the scenarios on display.

The exhibition features a series of everyday characters and situations that prompt reactions like "I totally know someone like that!" or "Wait, that's me."

"Dark Type Diagnosis" AI Web App
The centerpiece of the exhibition is the Dark Type Diagnosis, an AI-powered personality test woven throughout the venue.
As visitors move through the displays, they encounter questions such as "In this situation, how would you reply?" and answer them on their smartphones. Their responses are analyzed to build a psychological profile, and upon reaching the exit, the AI delivers a final verdict — the visitor's personal dark type.
The diagnosis is conducted in an AI chat format and requires a smartphone with internet access. This experience is for entertainment purposes only and does not constitute any psychological or medical assessment.
12 Unique Dark Type Characters
Based on responses collected throughout the exhibition, visitors are assigned one of 12 planned dark type characters. The reveal happens only at the exit, making it entertaining to compare results with friends and partners.
In addition to the character assignment, the AI generates a personalized analysis based on the visitor's own answers. Whether the verdict feels spot-on or a little over the top, it is all part of the entertainment.
