To mark the 35th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, SEGA is releasing a special compilation CD titled "Forever Fast - 35th Anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog" on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The album gathers vocal themes from across the franchise, spanning from the first 3D title Sonic Adventure through to the latest release Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.
The 2-disc set includes a total of 22 tracks, among them a newly recorded version of "Escape From The City" performed by Nathan Sharp (NateWantsToBattle), who appeared as a vocalist at the Sonic 30th Anniversary Symphony concert. A promotional video for the album has also been released.

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, a live concert celebrating the Sonic series' 35-year musical history will take place at Showa Women's University Hitomi Memorial Hall in Tokyo. The show features a specially assembled band and orchestra performing vocal songs and iconic themes from across the series, accompanied by memorable scenes from the games.
