TOWERLAND –ROOFTOP BAR & BBQ–, on the 10th-floor rooftop of the Kyoto Tower Building, is holding TOWERLAND BUBBLE STATION on August 8 (Saturday) as a special program within its ongoing "30 Days of Daily Events" summer campaign.
Running for 30 days from July 17 (Friday) through August 15 (Saturday), TOWERLAND's summer lineup brings a wide range of content for all generations, including nightly DJ performances, a family disco, and a double dutch jump-rope show.
The second half of the summer program features two major highlights: the first-ever bubble performance show, TOWERLAND BUBBLE STATION, and Aoharu Rooftop 2026, an event exclusively for high school students. The headline attraction, TOWERLAND BUBBLE STATION, brings bubble performer Shabota Awao—known for numerous event and media appearances—up close for a live show. Beneath the illuminated NIDEC Kyoto Tower, bubble performance and lighting combine for a one-night-only, fantastical experience.

Beneath the illuminated NIDEC Kyoto Tower, bubble performer Shabota Awao, who has appeared at numerous events, presents a 30-minute fantastical stage show.
Countless bubbles born from an artistic sensibility paint the night sky like a canvas, blending with vivid lighting to turn the entire space into a dreamlike "sea of bubbles."
For children, it's a wonder-filled, almost magical space; for adults, a dramatic summer night to remember.

Born in Kyoto City, Shabota Awao is a professional bubble performer ("shabolar") with an extensive track record performing at kindergartens, nurseries, and corporate events.
Awao has drawn attention through numerous features on TV and in newspapers. Using self-made tools to create everything from tiny bubbles to oversized ones, Awao conjures a world of fantasy in an instant, delighting everyone at the venue, from children to adults.

July 30 (Thu) | Aoharu Rooftop 2026 – High School Students Only Event
On July 30 (Thursday), TOWERLAND hosts Aoharu Rooftop 2026, a special rooftop event exclusively for current high school students. Set on the rooftop of the Kyoto Tower Building, the event delivers a page of summer youth set to the season's popular J-Pop and trending hits.
Alongside music selected by a popular DJ, the event features plenty of social-media-worthy moments, including a giant "Aoharu Parade" that energizes the crowd. Students are welcome to join partway through after club activities or summer classes.

TACOS de Kanpai
The star of the à la carte menu is the popular carnitas tacos, supervised by the Isoya Group. Other hearty summer-only items available during the period include charcoal-grilled tandoori chicken and charcoal-grilled Wagyu leg roast beef with mustard.
On the breezy rooftop, pair the tacos with an ice-cold Corona while letting the DJ's music set the mood, TOWERLAND's fusion of food and entertainment, experienced with all the senses.
