About "Unaru Oishisa Unajiro"

Unajiro product

"Unaru Oishisa Unajiro" is a fish surimi product that recreates the flavor and texture of eel kabayaki. Using a proprietary method that replicates the chargrilled aroma along with the fluffy texture of the flesh and skin, it has become a familiar item on dining tables and in bento boxes for a wide range of age groups since its launch in 2016. The product is particularly popular during events such as the Doyo no Ushi no Hi (Midsummer Day of the Ox), a traditional day for eating eel.

Key features:

  • Made from fish surimi to mimic the taste of grilled eel kabayaki
  • Ready to enjoy with just a quick microwave heating
  • Contains generous amounts of Vitamin B1 (1.8 mg per piece)
  • Contributes to environmental and aquatic resource conservation as an "eel-free" option
  • This product does not contain eel
