This summer, the parking lot plaza at Mitsui Outlet Park Sendai Port (Miyagi Prefecture, Sendai City) turns into the stage for Water Battle, a free water-gun event held over two days, Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026. Planned and operated by IKUSA Inc., the event is organized by Mitsui Outlet Park Sendai Port itself.
The activity offers a chance to make a cool, refreshing summer memory with family or friends during a break from shopping, and there is no participation fee.
Armed with matchlock-gun-style water guns, participants face off in a soaking battle that is nearly impossible to stay dry through. Anyone age 5 and up can join for free, making it an easy way to shake off the summer heat with a refreshing play experience.
Simple changing rooms for men and women are available on site.

About Water Battle
Using matchlock-gun-style water guns, participants aim at a target called a "soul," worn on the chest, that reveals a "defeated warrior" design once it gets wet. It is a water activity perfectly suited to the height of summer that large groups can enjoy together.
Participants put on armor-style bibs and attach a "soul" patch to the chest to get ready for battle.
Make good use of the walls set up on the field to protect your own team while aiming to defeat the opposing side.
