Artist Yasunari Ikenaga, who continues to advocate for the revival of figure painting in Nihonga (Japanese-style painting), is holding his first solo exhibition at Bunkamura Gallery.
The works, created through the texture of linen and particles of mineral pigments, possess both serenity and passionate charm.
This exhibition focuses on the artist's latest works as he continues to pursue further evolution.

"Create Your Original Calendar with Metal Foil and Clay"
Participants can freely apply metal foil and clay to Ikenaga's original giclée prints to create their own calendars.

About Yasunari Ikenaga
Born in Oita Prefecture in 1965.
Graduated from Oita Prefectural College of Arts Affiliated Midorigaoka High School.
His bijinga paintings, created with mineral pigments on linen he dyes himself, emit a unique texture and fragrance. He receives many offers from overseas for items such as stationery and book covers. His first art book "Kimiomofu Hyakuya no Kofuku" published in 2014 continues to be a long-seller, followed by numerous supervised art books. In 2015, he collaborated with AKB48 to create original artwork for Yui Yokoyama's first photobook "Yuihan". He has also released prints and calendars.
