Otaru Area

Otaru is a historic port town famous for its fresh seafood such as sushi, kaisen-don (seafood rice bowls), and traditional herring dishes. Local specialties also include the popular B-class gourmet ankake yakisoba (stir-fried noodles with a thick sauce), LeTAO's cheesecake, and Kamaei's famous fish cakes. The city also offers a wide variety of drinks, from Tanaka Shuzo's sake to Otaru Wine and Otaru Beer. Most nightlife spots are concentrated around Otaru Station, making it easy for visitors to enjoy bar hopping in a welcoming atmosphere.

Yoichi Area

Yoichi is world-renowned as the home of the Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery, making it a must-visit destination for whisky lovers.
