Tottori's 283Crepe Opens Second Branch in Matsue, Shimane

283Crepe Matsue, the second location of the Tottori-based crepe shop, opened in March 2026 and has been welcoming a steady stream of visitors since day one.

The original 283Crepe operates in Aoyachi-cho, Tottori Prefecture, and runs under the concept of "crepes made by a confectionery shop." Each crepe is made to order, resulting in a distinctively crispy texture. The fresh cream used is made with milk, fresh cream, and butter from Daisen Dairy, giving it a lighter finish that doesn't feel overly sweet.

Despite being tucked away in a residential neighborhood, the Matsue branch has attracted customers who discovered it through social media as well as fans making the trip from the Tottori location. Visitors have shared reactions such as:

  • "The cream is light and easy to finish to the last bite"
  • "It's a texture I've never had before"
  • "An unexpectedly stylish space in a residential area"

283Crepe also places a strong emphasis on using locally sourced ingredients from Tottori and Shimane.

With a commitment to connecting the San-in region, the shop plans to continue developing limited menu items featuring local ingredients.
