A new limited edition of the "Air-In Fuji Eraser" featuring Sanrio Characters is set to go on sale on May 29, 2026. The product is a collaboration between Plus Corporation and Sunstar Stationery Co., Ltd., bringing eight beloved Sanrio Characters to the popular eraser series that turns an everyday school supply into something you can shape yourself.
The Air-In Fuji Eraser series, which grew out of the long-selling Air-In eraser line that has been on the market since 1989, invites users to enjoy the act of erasing itself. As the four corners of the eraser wear down, the body gradually takes on the shape of a snow-capped Mount Fuji. By erasing symmetrically from both sides, you can craft your own miniature "Fuji" — a concept that has earned wide recognition since the product's launch.
Sanrio Characters Designs and Colorways
The limited edition features eight eraser case designs drawn from some of Sanrio's most recognizable characters, including Hello Kitty, Pompom Purin, and others that have been loved across generations. The eraser body itself comes in a new color chosen to match each character, and the top of the case has a curved finish that helps distribute pressure while erasing, making the eraser less likely to snap.

Four Gift Box Sets
The erasers are sold in pairs, housed in four types of small gift boxes. Each box features the matching character pair, gold foil-stamped logos, and a paper finish with a pleasing texture — giving the packaging a premium feel. The boxes are designed to double as small storage containers after the erasers are removed, making them a practical keepsake as well.
The four lineup options are:
- Hello Kitty & Dear Daniel — Blue box
- My Melody & Kuromi — Pink box
- Little Twin Stars — Mint box
- Pompom Purin & Cinnamoroll — Yellow box

The "Fuji" Eraser Experience
As the eraser is used, the four corners gradually wear away, and a white layer at the center of the two-layer resin body is revealed. This white core represents the snowy peak of Mount Fuji, emerging as the base layer is erased away. Careful, symmetrical erasing lets you shape your own personal "Fuji."

Eraser Material
The eraser resin is the same formulation used in the original Air-In eraser, which has been on sale since 1989. Porous ceramic powder creates countless micro-edges within the rubber, delivering a light and comfortable erasing feel — described by the brand as "always erasing from a sharp corner."
